Where would we be without the Porsche 911? The do-it-all sportscar that can trace its history back through the last 6 decades has continually been the benchmark to stack all newcomers against.
The 996 911 Turbo was introduced in 2000 and is powered by a 3.6 twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that was derived from the 1998 Le-Mans winning 911 GT1 race car. Producing 420 bhp it propelled the 911 from 0-62mph in only 4.2 seconds and powers onto a top speed of 190mph.
That Mezger flat-six - being a different design than the regular Carrera models - doesn't suffer from any of the common 996 911 issues such as IMS failure or bore scoring.
First registered in August 2002 this lovely example has been with its 6th and current owner since January of 2016.
Specified in timeless Artic Silver Metallic (X1X1) with a full black leather interior, and with the upgraded Tiptronic S automatic transmission it also benefits from a great specification: Please see the full list below.
In preparation for sale there has been some small remedial work carried out including a new drivers door lock, bonnet struts, and professional repainting of the front bumper, due to stone chipping.
Presented with a recent MOT pass, it is ready for its next custodian.
This vehicle also attended Porsche's 70th Anniversary event in Germany, and formed part of the iconic line up of cars representing the numbers in an impressive overhead photograph. The vehicle is accompanied with paraphernalia from the event.
Also accompanying is the original book pack with books, 2 main keys and original emergency key.
Please note: the cherished registration OUR 911W is also available to purchase separately.
History:
At this point vehicle usage becomes sporadic and is shown to be in storage up until and continuing currently.
The vehicle has covered less than 2,000 miles since this work.
